On the two days following the NZSA 2026 Conference, 17-18 December, the Japanese Society of Computational Statistics will be holding a symposium at the University of Auckland to celebrate their 40th anniversary.  They have graciously provided a range of options for NZSA members to participate.

    • You are invited to attend the keynote presentations (Ross Ihaka, Thomas Lumley, Paul Murrell) free of charge, and without needing to register.
    • For full participation, you can register at the member rate at
https://jscs-sympo40anniv.ywstat.jp (early bird, until October 30, is 5000 JPY, or about 60 NZD). If you would like to give a talk, abstract submission closes 30 September.
    • Students can attend the full symposium for free, but they must register.
