October 11 is International Day of Women in Statistics and Data Science (IDWSDS). The Caucus for Women in Statistics (CWS), the Portuguese Statistical Society (SPE), and the American Statistical Association (ASA) are launching the first annual IDWSDS celebration event on October 11, 2022 (the second Tuesday of October), with a 24-hour virtual conference in celebration of women statisticians and data scientists around the world. The Biostatistics Centre at University of Otago, with support from the NZSA, have organised a set of talks, featuring women from across the University of Otago and Victoria University of Wellington, as part of this first annual conference.
